Two Critters, One Forest: Hugo Baptista's Light Painting Orbs
Hugo Baptista paints with light in the forest at night, and symmetry is his signature. This autumn he picked up a pair of RGB Critter BTs so both halves of a shape could be drawn at once, then took his camera out to show us how he does it.
Hugo's walkthrough: two Critters, one rig
Hugo shot this on a Sony A7V and talks through the rig, the moves and the settings as he goes.
What he made: orbs, spheres and rivers of light
Every photo below is a single long exposure, drawn by hand with Critters in the dark. The split sphere is the one only two lights can make: one Critter for each half, drawn side by side.
