Q: Do I need the app? Is it free?
No and yes. Every light works straight out of the box with three onboard buttons and 20 built-in presets. The free app (iOS and Android) unlocks 16 million colors, custom playlists, and firmware updates. No subscriptions, no fees.

Q: Which fiber count should I pick: 140, 200, or 300?
140 is the lightest and quickest in hand, great for fast tricks and dancing. 300 is the fullest, brightest look. 200 sits in between. First whip? 200 is the safe middle.

Q: End Glow or Sparkle?
End Glow concentrates light at the fiber tips: clean, bright points, and the more durable choice for frequent use. Sparkle lets light escape along the whole strand for a full-body glow.

Q: How long does a charge last, and what if it dies mid-event?

I’ve bought several different pixel whips in the past five years because I like to do double pixel whips for flow dancing. AOAM light whips are the best on the market in my personal opinion. The handle design, the fiber texture, and of course the RGB light is definitely a cut above. I have over the years, had some mechanical issues, but mostly due to my own abuse of the RGB critter (I like to flow hard). I’ve been able to easily send my Critters in for maintenance. I love these so much I often let other pixel whip dancers try mine at raves and relish when their eyes get so big and amazed as they feel the difference. There is a big difference. These truly flow.
