Two Critters, back to back
The Critter Connector joins two Critters into one prop.
It threads into the back of each RGB Critter, so you can build an LED Staff or a Double BitWhip from lights you already own. Two sets of O‑rings come in the box.
Pick your O‑rings
Both sets fit. The choice is how tight you want the joint.
Smaller O‑rings
Already on the connector. A smaller outer diameter makes it easier to rotate into the Critter. Right for most people.
Larger O‑rings
Harder to install, but the parts lock together more securely. Use these if you spin or play aggressively.
Installation
Repeat on the second Critter to finish the build.
-
1
Peel back the shell
Fold the silicone shell back until you can see the aluminum at the rear of the Critter, then remove the end cap.
-
2
Push it in flat
Push the connector into the back of the Critter until the O‑ring is no longer visible and the connector sits flat, not at an angle.
-
3
Rotate clockwise
Turn the connector clockwise until it seats. If it's hard to turn, put a flat-head screwdriver in the slot for more leverage.
Joining two Critters with Sol Sabers
Grip the right part and the shell stays where it belongs.
Connecting
Hold the Sol Sabers, not the Critters, and rotate the parts together. This keeps the Critter shell from twisting out of place.
Disconnecting
Hold where each Critter meets its Sol Saber, then rotate to separate the parts.
Removing the connector
Once fully installed, the connector is meant to stay put. To take it out, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the small slot on either end and rotate counter-clockwise.
Lost an O‑ring? Spares are $0.25 each on the O‑ring page.
