After doing a fair amount of research and browsing different sites I decided to place an order with AOAM. I purchased the 300-fibre Bitwhip + Critter, along with an extra battery. This isn’t my first time ordering from abroad, so I’m well aware that import charges can apply—but in all my previous experiences, sellers have always been upfront about this during checkout.

In AOAM’s case, there was no mention of any additional fees, and since I paid a substantial amount for shipping, I reasonably assumed any import charges were included. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Just days before the delivery was due, I received an unexpected bill for customs charges.

When I contacted AOAM to clarify, I was met with a frustrating lack of accountability. To make matters worse, I received an email stating that the extra battery I had paid for would not be shipped due to international restrictions on sending single batteries. Again—this was never mentioned at checkout, nor anywhere on the site. Had I known, I might have reconsidered the purchase or at least adjusted my order.

Now, I’m left with a whip and no spare battery. If I want to get one, I’ll have to buy two and face another round of import charges. It feels like a system designed to extract as much as possible from international customers.

In total, I’ve spent over $290 on a single whip, and I can honestly say it wasn’t worth the hassle. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

It's so much easier to set the color setting you want from the phone app instead of hurting your fingers and nerves trying to set it manually through the handle.
My friend and I take turns to be the lighting guy for each other. We will change the lighting setting mid performance from the app based on the music and laser colors the VJ would use.
also the light up buttons are supe useful when you first learn how to use it as they make it much easier to know where the handle is. Pluss it looks really cool if you are fiber wielding and the handle rotates.

This is by far the prettiest whip I have ever seen. I love the sparkle aspect to it. There are so many color combinations on the app! I love that they offer a lifetime warranty!!
