Jupiter Rope is a super flexible side glow cable housed within a rotating bearing. By directing the light out of the sides of the fiber rather than just through the end, you’ll get a rope that can be used for all sorts of purposes, from lighting up your bike to painting photography.

At first I was not getting images I liked, but I kept at it, and found if you wrap the rope in a sloppy circle or even overlapping, you can get some really cool images! I like it now! ;-) All these images are only the Jupiter Rope nothing else.
I have the 6ft version for light painting, and love the length and and soft light it creates with the RGBCritter for making an entire backdrop of light! Have used with models and just for pure light drawing. Being able to swivel it above your head in painting makes it easy to create smooth, even waves of color. Looking forward to discovering even more ways to make it shine. I liked the brightness at the end for these shots, but you can also put a bit of gaffer tape around the base if you prefer not to have that for some shots.
I recently added a short, 3-foot Jupiter rope to my ever-growing collection of AOAM toys. (I already own a 6-foot version.) I found the shorter one easier to handle on this particular evening as I had a critter in each hand. I might be mistaken, but I felt as though it was brighter through the length than my 6-foot version as the color has a longer length to travel. The rope is obviously the curved color in the attached images.
