The DIY Connector is the blank canvas of the twist-on system. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, it has the standard AOAM thread on one end and a precision-threaded base on the other for mounting whatever you dream up.

Our warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship, including electronics.

Warranty Coverage:

  • Twist-on accessories are covered for life.
  • The RGB Critter BT (light source) has a 2-Year Warranty (Lifetime Warranty upgrade available on the checkout page of the website).
  • Batteries are covered for 60 days.

RETURNS

Free US returns. Your item just needs to reach us within 30 days of delivery.

To start a return, email support@antsonamelon.com and we will send a prepaid label with simple instructions. Once your label is issued, please ship the item back within 14 days.

International returns are accepted on the same 30-day basis, but return postage is the customer’s responsibility.

Returns must come back unused and undamaged, in the original packaging with all accessories. Try it out and make sure it is what you wanted — what we cannot take back is gear that has been flowed with, dropped, scuffed or modified, because we cannot sell it to the next person.

The one exception on eligibility is a custom order — anything made to your own specification, such as a saber cut to a length we do not stock — because those are built for one person and cannot be resold.

If something breaks in use, that is a warranty claim rather than a return, and there is no 30-day limit on it. Email us and we will repair or replace it.

We will ask what went wrong. Not to talk you out of it, but because we can often fix the problem faster than a return can.

DIY Connector with 10" Bubble Acrylic Rod

This connector is sturdy and amazing for using your own tools. I highly recommend joining the RBG critter FB page as I am learning a lot for other light painters there. Like this 10" Bubble Acrylic Rod I found out about, it was only $8 on amazon, so with the DIY connector I got a super cool tool for only $23! Got this image my first time using it!

So little but so handy!

Every time I order something from AOAM, I add a couple of these DIY adapters to the order. Then, they disappear amonst my light painting gear. attached to a homemade tube, a rod, a blade...you get the picture. When the next order is made, I go through the same process again. I expect now that I must have about 10 of them, solidly adding to my collection of tools I can use with my two Critters. They are indispensible!

Diy connector

The connector is extremely versatile. It’s easily fits the critter torch. This makes it very flexible and with an additional homemade adapter fits all my blades, needles, tubes. Would be lost without the connector and torch. I love the effects the torch can produce. I great range of colours and strobes. Many varied combinations.

DIY Connector has added value

There are at least two side benefits to using this adapter as-is. Since it extends a little, it focuses the light so it doesn’t flood as much. Since the inner portion has the aluminum exposed, the metallic silver coloring intensifies the light and throws it further.

Der DIY Connector ist eine tolle Sache um selbst etwas zu bauen.
Allerdings wäre es schön wenn man wissen würde was für ein Gewinde da benutz wird. Um eine Beschädigung der Lampe zu vermeiden.

DIY CONNECTOR

I ordered a couple of these to make my own blades and they worked out great. You just glue in your new blade in and screw it in to the CRITTER and its solid. And its made of quality aluminum so it just screws right in to the CRITTER.

Bought a couple of these nice aluminum adaptors which work perfectly with the Light Painting Paradise tools. Also discovered that they can be used with the T5 fluorescent tube guards with just a minor shim for a very snug fit. Very useful adaptor and a great price for the quality.
