Light Painting Blades - Light Painting Tool

Light Painting Blades are acrylic shapes that light up when attached to the RGB Critter 2.0 Flashlight. This product is designed for use in light painting photography.

Light Painting Blades require the RGB Critter 2.0 Flashlight in order to light up (not included).

The Thickest Blades Available

At 3/8" (9.5mm), these are the thickest Light Painting Blades on the market. This extra thickness provides the most light output possible. Our Blades are also different because we sandblast the edges, which makes our shapes really pop!

Connect Directly To The RGB Critter Flashlight

Light Painting Blades are permanently installed into the DIY Connector which threads directly into the front of the RGB Critter Flashlight. This functionality allows the Blade to nearly touch the front of the RGB Critter's lens, which maximizes the brightness of your accessories.

The RGB Critter can display 39 unique colors at the click of a button. There's no need for colored gels and adapters when you upgrade to the RGB Critter Flashlight and choose from over 120 different twist-on accessories that are all universally interchangeable with the RGB Critter.

SAFETY AND WARRANTY NOTICE

Light Painting Blades are designed to be used for light painting photography. Light Painting Blades should never be used as a weapon or any form of performance prop. Use of these products as a performance flow prop could result in serious injury or damage to the product. Some of our Blade shapes have very sharp and pointy edges, so please be sure to wear proper eye protection to protect your body!

Freak Show madness

I had the Freak Show blade and used it for my abstracts, which worked well. However, somewhere along the line, I had the idea for something more "medusa-like" with my mannequin. The first tries didn't work, but then I tightened up the trails and got my winner. It not only shows the shape of the blade (something I LOVE to see in images) but also the color-rich trails. Cudos to Ants on a Melon for such a winning combination!

This thing is THICK!!!

I've purchased a lot of blades and attempted to make my own blades. When i say that the 9" Digital Feather is the THICKEST blades I've ever seen, held, used....etc!! When I say this blade is bright and holds the light.....it REALLY holds the light!! When it's paired with the AOAM Critter....magic happens!!! If the rest of the blades are this thick, I'll eventually buy all of them.

The best blades out there!!

I shoot a LOT using plexiglass blades, and have over time, tried out all the different brands out there. I gotta say, I prefer these blades over any others. They are sturdy, great quality, and thicker than other competitor blades, making them capable of shining quite a bit brighter. A big perk of using the Ants on a Melon system is that your can have so many color/pattern options with just one flashlight, rather than having to use color filters, gels, or multiple flashlights. Highly recommend these!

Most versatile lightpainting tool

This light is a true game changer. From the variety of tools, the build quality of their plexis and the endless color combinations I absolutely love this tool.

DOUBLE-SIDED CRITTER

With the Critter Connector, you can turn your Sol Saber attachment into a RGB Critter LED Staff. You can even connect two Orbit BitWhips together for a dazzling light show that will be sure to blow away your audience. Any color combination you can imagine is possible with the Critter Connector.
