It's not necessary, but it will improve the "fluid" feel of the fibers as they wrap around your body. We recommend using the "Swiss Navy" silicone lubricant. See our tutorial on "Light Whip Cleaning & Lubrication" for more.

Depending on where you came into the flow arts world you might call it a light whip, a flow whip or an LED whip. They all describe the same tool, and this one is ours. We built the BitWhip for real performance: fibers that survive festival weekends, a grippy silicone housing that shrugs off drops, and a replaceable 18650 battery in the box so a dead battery never ends your night. I have the 200 fibers end glow fibers along with 200 fibers sparkle one. I love both! I enjoy having the option to use both because the sparkly one is absolutely beautiful in the night along with the end glow fibers! I love the 200 fibers since it's in between and not too heavy.

140, 200, or 300 Fibers?

All fiber heads are superb for Light Whipping - the right option depends on how you like to move. More fibers means brighter and fuller, and less worry if a fiber breaks. Head weights: 140 fibers 3.8oz, 200 fibers 4.2oz, 300 fibers 7.3oz. The RGB Critter flashlight weighs 8oz.

140 Fibers

200 Fibers

300 Fibers

140 Fibers

Best for beginner to intermediate flow artists. Lightweight, easy to control, less fatiguing, great for learning technique and clean shapes.

200 Fibers

Intermediate sweet spot. Balanced weight and fullness. Still very manageable, but more visually impactful. This is the most versatile option.

300 Fibers

Advanced. Heavier, thicker, and more physically demanding. Best for strong off-body flow, lacing, and powerful movement. Can feel overwhelming if you are not used to weight.

Sparkle or End Glow?

Both options create beautiful light trails - the difference is in texture, durability, and overall feel.

END GLOW

Bright tip glow with durable build. A cleaner, more classic light whip look with better durability. Great if you want a practical, long-lasting option for regular use.

Choose End Glow if you want durability first.

SPARKLE

Twinkling, star-like light effect. Adds tiny twinkling lights along the fibers for a more textured, magical look. Best if visual shimmer matters most to you.

Choose Sparkle if you want the most decorative visual effect.

This Bitwhip maximizes my creativity!

This bitwhip brings out the artist in me esp when customizing colors with it. Bringing my imagination of colors to life. I super love the audio sensor feature of it since I love flowing and exploring to different genres of music. The only downside I see on this one is it's handles weight. Most of my students says it's too heavy that their arms hurt during class doing advance tricks and I as well. If they can pull off a lighter RGB Critter this would be a 1000/10 for me

Hi MicaEzra, we're thrilled to hear the BitWhip sparks your creativity! Thanks for your honest feedback about the weight—it's something we'll consider for future designs. Happy spinning!

An incredible investment

I can’t say enough good things about the AOAM bitwhip! The fibers are sturdy, the motion at the bas is free and smooth, and the color/mode options are out of this world! The Orange Crush setting is my go-to, and people regularly come up to me thinking it’s real fire! I’ve used and abused this whip over the last year, and it’s about time for a new fiberhead, but considering what I have put it through it has held up amazingly well! I’ll likely spring for the 300ct this time around, as I’m excited to play with heavier fiber!

Hi Forrest, we're thrilled to hear you're so satisfied with the BitWhip! Thanks for sharing your experience and enthusiasm. Enjoy your new fiberhead when you upgrade to the 300ct!

LOVE THE FIBERS

Hi Ashley! We're thrilled to hear you love the fibers and enjoy their versatility. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Best investment ever!

Its taken me 4 whip upgrades to finally invest in this whip and Im beyond satisfied and happy with it! The app feature alone makes it worth every penny. It did take me a while to get used to the weight of the base but once you get the hang of it its actually better for isolations in my opinion. Ive already upgraded my fiber head to a 300 and WHOA! its so BRIGHT and beautiful!!!

Thank you so much, ReynaD! 😊 Really glad you’re loving the app features and the 300 fiber upgrade — the brightness on those is wild 🔥

Also appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the handle weight and isolations. Thanks again for the support and welcome to the AOAM family!

Been a loyal customer for years Ive been using AOAM products for over 5 years and

Ive been using AOAM products for over 5 years and they’ve only gotten better and better. The programmable lights in the new app is so much easier and more efficient to get those color patterns you love! 1/10 will be returning once again!

Thank you so much for the support over the years, Jassmin! 😊 It means a lot to have longtime AOAM users growing alongside us.

Really glad you’ve been enjoying the new app and programmable lighting features. We put a ton of work into making custom modes and color patterns easier and faster to create, so it’s awesome hearing that feedback from an experienced user.

Can’t wait to see what you create next. Thanks again for being part of the AOAM community!

300 Fibers / End Glow

All fun and joy!The RGB Critter is definitely the best of the best

The RGB Critter is definitely the best of the best. Use the app to customize your lights patterns and so much more. I can only have fun with this!

Thanks so much, we really appreciate that.

Love hearing you’re enjoying the Critter and the app, that combo is where it really shines. Glad you’re having fun with it!

My first light whip and i

My first light whip and i.will absolutely stick with this brand. Great control and weight and brightness. I'm in love!!

Thank you so much!

We’re really glad to hear you’re enjoying your first whip and that it feels great to use.

Appreciate you choosing us and taking the time to share your experience 🙂

Can’t recommend this whip enough!

I’m utterly obsessed with my whip!! I have the 200 fiber end glow, and it is a dream. The color options are beautiful, the app is very user friendly, and the fibers feel fantastic. And customer service is amazing! I reached out to them about some brief technical difficulties I was experiencing, and they were extremely friendly, helpful and informative. They helped me troubleshoot and find solutions immediately, and were very personable. Really happy I bought my whip from this company, 10/10 experience and product!!

Melissa, this is so wonderful to read. Thank you for the incredible review.

We’re thrilled you’re loving your 200 fiber End Glow. It’s such a dreamy setup, and hearing that you’re enjoying the colors, the feel, and the app means the world to us.

And thank you for the kind words about our support team. We truly care about making sure everything is working perfectly so you can focus on flowing.

So glad you’re part of the AOAM family. Keep glowing ✨

Review for my 1st time buying a whip

I just received the whip lights and it’s so goooddd!! The lights is so pretty. will recommend this to my friends!

Thank you, Apricity. We’re so glad your first whip experience was a great one. Hearing that you’d recommend it to friends really means a lot to us. Enjoy the light ✨

Can’t Beat this Whip

I have had whips from many brands (about 4 or 5), and the Critter is by far the best whip on the market. The colors are bright and bountiful; the patterns are varied and vibrant. Not to mention that you can get other attachments and do so much more than just whip; it’s like the Swiss Army knife of flowing! You will rarely catch me without it. :)

Wow, thank you so much, Jia. Calling the Critter the “Swiss Army knife of flowing” is incredibly flattering. We’re honored it’s earned a permanent place in your kit and really appreciate you sharing such a thoughtful review.

Works great besides small factor.

Amazing Flow Toy!!!

I researched long and hard before investing in my first LED whip. Every source came to the same conclusion... Ants On A Melon is the best! I could not be happier with my whip! It is even brighter than I expected and is so much fun to use!

Thank you so much for the kind words. We’re thrilled your first LED whip is brighter than expected and fun to use. Enjoy every spin.

My favorite whip to light things up with!

Of all the brands I've tried, Ants on a Melon's Bitwhip has become my favorite light whip to perform with by far. The wide array of colors and customization options it provides are unmatched, and it's the only whip I've had that features a sound reactive mode. On top of that, it has been my most durable and long lasting whip, in terms of both the flashlight handle and the whip head fibers. And their customer support team is always quick to reply to any questions I have. Whether you're interested in light whips or any of their other many attachments, I wholeheartedly recommend AOAM to anyone interested in artfully lighting things up!

Best purchase I’ve made in a while

I love my light whip – it’s seriously awesome! The colors are vibrant, the patterns are mesmerizing, and it flows so smoothly when I dance with it. It makes me feel so free and connected to the music, and every time I bring it out at a rave or show, people stop and stare. The battery lasts a good while, and it’s easy to recharge and switch modes. Whether I’m freestyling or just vibing out, it adds a whole new level of energy to my flow. Definitely one of my favorite rave toys!

Game changer!!!

I've been whipping for the last 6 years or so and have tried all the whips. While I lived the ease of use of some brands and the versatility of others, none make the experience as friendly as AOAM does now! Not only can you customize your patterns and colors but you can import them so they're readily available to use without your phone! Wowowow. Also, the buttons glow?!? The fiber to handle weight ratio is phenomenal, making isolations easy and the rubber outside gives an extra cushion when you eventually bonk yourself on the head or launch it at your ceiling fan. I couldn't be happier.... Unless I had 2! Thanks for putting so much love and thought into the Critter AOAM!!

Love from a customer who'll never stop dancing.

It took me a minute to get the hang of it because the filaments kept snagging; but it is high quality and I love how bright it is.

I am so happy I went with AOAM lightwhip. The app was easy to use and the instructional videos are very helpful! I am so happy with this flow prop & the customer service! Everything has been wonderful & I have zero complaints. Im already planning on buying the two ended light saber before the end of the year! I can’t wait. Thank you!!!!!

Seriously The Best Whip on the Market!!

I was initially hesitant to try the Bluetooth critter, but it’s mainly the critter I use now!! I love how easy it is to control through the app and make your own colors and playlists. There is so much freedom for creation and customization, I am entirely in love with the Bluetooth critter!

WE HAVE SOME ANSWERS!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is everything I need included in this product?

How durable are the fibers?

The fiber optics used for this product (End Glow version) are high-grade 0.75mm end glow fiber optic cables and they are very durable and will withstand all kinds of rugged use.
We have been sourcing fiber optics from the same manufacturer for over 10 years now and our fiber optic products are widely considered the most durable on the market.
Sparkle Fibers show tiny twinkling lights along the length of the end glow fibers. They are more prone to breaking. Please be gentle with Sparkle fibers to avoid unwanted breakage.

What's the difference between the 140, 200, and 300 fiber options?

All fiber heads are superb for Light Whipping! Select higher fiber count heads for off-body whipping, rope dart style & lacing/tracing. The extra weight & thickness provide a superior fiber grip and movements similar to staff spinning.
We recommend using lower fiber counts for more tech related flow. Lower fiber counts offer greater flexibility and are perfect for creating shapes such as triangles, lines, & circles.
