FIBER OPTIC WINGS

From the Instructables:

It's been a while since I dug into a meaty project, so when Joel from Ants on a Melon asked me to make a costume piece for the launch of his new fiber optic products, I gladly accepted. I used his previous generation flashlight for my fiber optic dress and coat, and you can learn more about the new color changing flashlight used in this Instructable on his kickstarter. It was fun to make and shoot - thanks a ton to my awesome photographer Lisa Donchak and model Mara Harris!

FIBER OPTIC DRESS

From the Instructables page:

The inspiration for this dress followed the first time I saw this fiberoptic product in action. I was at a festival when I saw a bloom of fiber optic jellyfish approach, and they created such a beautiful effect that I knew I had to turn the concept into something wearable. I'd been wanting to incorporate fiber optics into fashion for a while, but this made it clear what I wanted to use and how.

The fiber optics are from Ants on a Melon, and the awesome photos were taken by audreyobsura. Many thanks to both of you for all the help along the way!

FIBER OPTIC TAIL COAT

From the Instructables page:

A year ago I made a fiber optic dress, using Ants on a Melon's fiber optics for the illumination. Due to the success of the dress online it was only fitting that Joel from Ants on a Melon should have a garment he could wear too while selling his wares! This is the coat I made for him, and the fiber optics to make your own are available as a kit on his website. Compared to making a garment from scratch, this is a much less time consuming and accessible project for anyone who wants to illuminate something they already have with fiber optics.
