TrustFire TR10440 600mAh** 3.7V AAA Lithium Ion Battery with Protection Circuit.
Our old flashlight models require the use of this specific battery. Our products will not operate with any other lithium ion or alkaline battery. Each battery provides approximately 1.5 hours of continuous use with our Single-Sided Flashlight and 1 hour of continuous use with our Double-Sided Flashlight. Solid color modes will use less battery life than strobing/blinking modes.
Charge this battery with our HG-103W charger product.
Lithium Ion Battery Disclaimer
WARNING: this battery is not meant to be a direct replacement for AAA alkaline/NiMH batteries in consumer devices. These lithium-ion batteries operate at more than twice the voltage of an alkaline battery and 3 times the voltage of a NiMH cell and may damage or destroy your device.
NOTE: Dimensions larger than standard AAA battery. May not fit all devices and/or chargers. It does not fit UltraFire WF-138 charger.
NOTE: Use special caution when working with Li-ion cells, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Make sure the user has enough knowledge of Li-Ion rechargeable batteries in charging, discharging and assembly before use. Always charge in/on a fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. We are not responsible for damage if there is any modification of the batteries/chargers in any form or shape (including pack making). We are not responsible for any damage caused by misuse or mishandling of Li-Ion batteries and chargers. We only recommend using Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries with a control circuit (protection PCB) to assure safe charge, discharge, etc, use of lithium ion batteries without a protection circuit is potentially hazardous
Unfortunately, if you are planning to wear your whip as a costume or use it at a festival in the summer, the batteries do not last if you are camping, they are designed to be stored at between 20 -25 degrees temperature, and it ruins your costume when they continually go out after about 15 to 20 mins use.
The amount of light that comes out of these is fantastic. I've had multiple batteries for years with no issue.
I do wish there was some way I could recharge these from a USB though so I could do mobile recharges if needed.
I've had my BitWhip for several years now and the batteries just stop charging after a certain point. I've bought replacement batteries in the past and now I have to buy more, which sucks because they are expensive and you dont get a lot of use out of them.. therefore requiring at least one more backup battery. It would be soooo much more convenient to use rechargeable AAAs instead of expecting people to pay extra for a 'special' battery that hardly functions. I love the BitWhip, but I cant say the same for the charging method.
I've had my whips for about 3 years now and I've purchased batteries twice, and some of the batteries are inconsistent and don't charge. Frustrating because they're literally $5 a piece
