The Silicone Cap Counterweight System Shim is the PTFE spacer that seats at the joint between the Silicone Cap Mount and the Saber Handle Extension, where the connecting screw passes through. It keeps the aluminum joint from galling and takes up play for a tight, quiet fit.
The shim and the connecting screw work as a pair: together they semi-permanently join the mount and the handle extension so the two parts will not unthread, rotate or work loose. They stay joined until the screw is removed with a 4mm Allen key.
You already have one. This shim ships in the box with the Silicone Cap Mount, the Silicone Cap Counterweight System and the Silicone Cap Counterweight Kit, along with the connecting screw and the 4mm Allen key. This listing is the spare or replacement.
