LED Staff Kit

The staff itself is great. But managing the software Really ruins the experience. It is very, very difficult to pair both halves of the staff, and keep them connected. Once you’ve got them connected, it’s like winning the lottery. But moments after performing, if you touch any of the buttons (which are near the middle) you will shut off one or both of the segments. I’ve worked with AOAM support and had some success. I’ve also looked to the web for help. So far I’m estimating 2 hours of fun and 6 hours of research. I feel that AOAM should provide a full set of precise instructions and also update their firmware to make it more user friendly. Note that there is a way to disable the buttons so you don’t accidentally turn it off. But I am yet to get it to work.

Aside from these terrible issues, the staff looks absolutely amazing when things are working.

Amazing in real life! The Analog option is delightful on camera and to everyone's eyes. A fun side show on its own while you learn the controls!
Despite all the color combinations you can set even more! Navigation is 3 buttons, small learning curve but knowing how you want to use the RGB Critter LED Staff helps narrow down which button clicks to remember. Easy lockouts to prevent accidental button pushing and the availability of drop in spare batteries is making this my most versatile tool. The connection between the RGB Critters is rock solid, even with multiple add-ons the Led Staff is secure feeling. Quick turn around on questions and special requests by email. I have been staffing my whole life. From pretend fighting as a kid to modern flow, and now I'm learn to contact staff. In all my years, I've never played with such a fun staff! Its lightweight, but still heavy and solid feeling. The grips are nice and the saber parts of the staff feel good to grip and slide nicely for doing isolation techniques! Its amazing at being a staff, but then its also a double saber! It's gotten me into many lightsaber duels and handled them well. Top tier products right here!

I find these are perfect for play combat, not too hard and very durable, but be careful you don't lean on them as they are not stiff enough to bear weight. i was impressed that they have a screwtop end to receive other accessories or double up with another saber accessory. Staff flow and sword flow is not my jam but as a product i give it a high rating, and its also a great toy for sharing with interested people.

I'm enjoying 2 sabers as a staff. I also have the inward connection to have 2 flashlights on 1 tube. Still working on a DIY levitation wand. This would be cool as a stand alone product as well to reduce the weight with a different light source or two.

I purchased the Hive pattern 24" Lumi Sabre as a trial for my girlfriend who adores anything that lights up and blinks. She loved it! I found the sabre to be brighter than I expected. In terms of movement, I find it very refined and well balanced, yet light and maneuverable.

I liked it so much, I bought 2 more of them, in the 36" size to complete all her pattern set.

She finds them useful for light painting as well as prop work as a staff.

I absolutely love this toy the balance the functionality and the brightness! Just a note on the brightness this year 2022 at EDC everyone came up to this saber like it was a staff so bright one of the brightest things out there as a totem or a staff! After all the staffing, I pulled it apart and put my small 12" sabers on for in the crowd fun!
