No and yes. Every light works straight out of the box with three onboard buttons and 20 built-in presets. The free app (iOS and Android) unlocks 16 million colors, custom playlists, and firmware updates. No subscriptions, no fees.
Q: How long does a charge last, and what if it dies mid-event?
Up to 7 hours per charge. The battery is a standard replaceable 2500mAh 18650, so carry a spare and swap it in seconds.
Q: What warranty comes with it?
Every RGB Critter BT carries a 2-Year Warranty covering electronic failures and manufacturing defects under normal use. A Lifetime Warranty upgrade is available at checkout.
