The 36 inch length is threaded at its free end and comes with a Saber Twist-On Cap in the box. The 5, 11, 17, 23 and 29 inch lengths are not threaded and do not include a cap.

How it connects

Twist the RGB Critter Tube Adapter onto the front of your RGB Critter.
Push this tube into the adapter's socket.
Tighten the adapter's two set screws with the hex key that comes with it. The six openings along the top of the adapter are light ports, not screws.

Parts you may need

RGB Critter Tube Adapter (required). The mounting end of this tube is bare, so this is what holds it on your Critter. It twists onto the Critter's front, the tube pushes into its socket, and two set screws lock it down. Skip it only if you already own one.
Modular Saber Tube Connector. Joins two tubes end to end for a longer tool. Two set screws per side, four total, all preinstalled.
Modular Saber Tube Adapter. Required for a twist-on accessory on a 5 to 29 inch tube, which has no thread of its own. It clamps onto a tube end and adds the AOAM female thread that the Modular End Cap screws into. It does not make the Saber Twist-On Cap fit: that cap threads into the tube itself, so it needs a saber tube or the 36 inch light painting tube.

8" Combo dots Modular Lumi Saber

I really like this small compact size of 8" as it's really easy to move around with my small hands! The quality of the saber is great, it's nice and sturdy! I got these photos my first night out, not even knowing what I was doing yet. Impressed!

Small but powerful!

I purchased two of the 8” Lumi Sabers to pair with my original Sol Saber. I love the black line between the lights when you combine them, it adds a nice structure to the image. The modular system is so versatile and easy to use. I love all of my AOAM products!

Unusable with android

Pre ordered the new critter. FYI the app only works for apple Iphones. If you have android the light will not be usable as advertised. Save your money until they learn how to get it working as advertised.

My new AOAM lighting tool

I am excited receiving my new AOAM lighting tool, I have tested the app, added playlist, turned on the flashlight using the app and now learning how to use my AOAM lighting tool with my mirrorless camera. So far I am still learning to use my camera with this lighting tool and enjoying while learning.

I love these. I made a mistake and used the scrolling pics to click on the lengths I wanted...I didn't realize I had to re-choose in my cart so I wound up with 4 of the same length rather than the multiple lengths I wanted....but they're great!

Good but could be better

beautifully mads, helpful customer service but my main issue is with the critter light, it is stupidly over complicated. I use on fast action wedding day and I just want a simply on off switch and a separate button for different modes, but this light has everything on one button and press and hold for a certain amount of time and when light turns such a colour press again and your in a sub menu with another mountain of options which god knows how you get out of. Give me one on\off button, another button for menu selection on your next light design. 1\4 the options and simply design please.

The latest RGB Critter BT now includes full app control, which makes operation much simpler and far more intuitive. You can turn the light on or off, switch modes, customize colors, and manage settings directly from the app without relying on complex button sequences. We also added 20 onboard modes that can be accessed with simplified button controls, so you can choose whether to use the app or operate it standalone.

We really appreciate your early feedback. It helped shape the improvements we made to make the Critter easier and faster to use in fast-paced environments.

Awesome flashlight. Gives lots of options. Still learning the controls.

Can immediately get some awesome effects, Take a while to learn how to get to where you want to be. But is a lean as you go. Perfect long term investment. So Amesome I purchased a second some to really up my light painting game. Great quality. Used other branded systems. Like the durablty of the screw in style instead of the more generic rubber connector. Both have their place.

Wowzer !! These lumi sabres and tools open up a whole new light painting dimension!! Being able to connect different patterns and lengths together is incredible. What a great product

I first encountered this product on a light painting night out in Loch Lomond in Scotland. When I saw my pics I new I had to get one. I know have several of the accessories and working on more ideas to incorporate in to my light painting with my new orders.

Infinite Possibilities!

The only thing better than the original lumi saber is a modular lumi saber! It's "exponentially" better because you can combine so many tools into so many different combinations. You can even connect the original lumi saber to a modular one, providing you are willing to have it on the far end of your set-up. And with all of the light options of the RGB Critter, it only takes a few tools to have a self-contained lighting playground.

LUMI SABRE (HONEYCOMB 24")

I purchased the Lumi sabre with the honeycomb pattern a couple of months ago. The first thing is the quality of the material used. It just feels robust. The balance, when attached to the critter, is excellent. Allows for great free flowing movement. The pattern printed on the sleeve adds great texture to any images created using this tool. The 24" length is great for me. Allows me to create circles that just touch the ground. The choice of lengths makes it a very versatile tool for those of all heights. Basically, a good solid versatile tool. Thank You Ants on a Melon .
